Stacking it up & Sunday Post

Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews where bloggers discuss the books that they have borrowed from the library or bought to add to their shelves. I personally think it's a fabulous idea, so shoutout to them!

I went to Chapters today, just to relax because who doesn't love relaxing at the bookstore?! Then I saw such an incredible deal that I needed to take advantage of! Three books for ten dollars!!! 3 for $10! What an amazing deal. So I decided to go ahead and pick three books! I got 1984 by George Orwell, The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli and To Have and Have Not by Ernest Hemingway

I've already read 1984, but I really wanted to add it to my book collection, and read it again! I just had to get The Prince because I'm a political science major, so why not?! I decided to throw in To Have and Have Not too as my third book. I'm super excited to read these books! Stay tuned for the reviews! Please leave a comment below if you've read any of these books, and what you thought of them!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer in which bloggers are able to share news and happenings in their lives on their blog. This idea is fantastic and I look forward to participating in this in the future as well.

Currently Reading

At the moment, I am reading Unsub by Meg Gardiner! I am quite a few chapters in, and my oh my is this book good! It's super action-packed, thrilling and just all around gripping. Keep an eye out for my review of the novel, which will be posted soon!

What am I reading next?

I'm super excited to get started on these books! Let me know if you've read any of them, and your thoughts on them!

What did I do this week?

I've mostly been reading, writing and watching a lot of Survivor this past week. Honestly just binge-watching past seasons, it's so fun! I went to the bookstore yesterday, browsed the shelves while drinking some delicious Starbucks! How can you go to the bookstore without drinking some coffee?! Am I right? So I relaxed there for a bit, then went to eat lunch at Freshii! I got the Oaxaca bowl, and it was SO yummy! What's your favourite bowl from Freshii?

Today I went hiking, and stopped at a beach along the way (check out the pictures)! The water and sand was so clean, which was quite surprising! While relaxing on the beach I read a bit of The Accident by S. D. Monaghan and ate some energizing food to refuel after the hike. It was a pretty great day, the weather was fabulous and the place we went to was quite nice. Can't wait for more summer adventures!

  5. Wow, the bookstory must be awesome. Mine near my house isn't that good. I can't stand up long enough without someone ask me to move because the place is SO small.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy these new books. Have a wonderful week. :)

  16. 3 books for 10 dollars is such a great deal! I really want to read more of Ernest Hemingway-- I'm sure I've read one or two of his works through school but I want to give them a go now that they aren't required reading.

I love the beach, but I prefer going when it's not too sunny (im not a sun person at all) Our local one is nearly almost empty when it cools down so we get it all to ourselves. :)
