Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews where bloggers discuss the books that they have borrowed from the library or bought to add to their shelves. I personally think it's a fabulous idea, so shoutout to them!
I just happened to find myself in the Chapters bookstore once again this week, and I also just happened to see the 3 books for $10 sale! 😉 I added three more classics to my ever-growing book collection, and I couldn't be happier! Have you read any of the following books (as pictured below)?
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer in which bloggers are able to share news and happenings in their lives on their blog. This idea is fantastic and I look forward to participating in this in the future as well.
I have had such a busy, yet amazing, week! I visited quite a few places, bought a few books and took some pretty sweet photos. On a side note, I've been reading The Accident by S. D. Monaghan through NetGalley, and it's going very well!
At the beginning of the week, I visited a park with my best friend, who is a fabulous photographer and she is the one who took the following three pictures! Go check out her blog at Rafia Tasneem, her photography is incredible! We first went to the gym, and then we had a picnic at this park! Then we went to her house, and watched Friends! Gosh, I just love that show!
Later in the week, I went to watch Dunkirk, directed by Christopher Nolan, for a second time! This movie is so good, and I highly recommend that you all watch it if you haven't done so yet. The actors are incredible! The movie is just breathtaking, and leaves you speechless! Let me know in the comment if you've seen it already!
Finally, to end off the week, I went to Downtown Toronto! What a fun adventure! I went to a few cute cafés (I had two delicious cappuccinos and a bombolone with Nutella filling for the first time ever and it was SO yummy), the mall, a restaurant and the bookstore. I did a lot of walking too and took some great photos that truly capture the beauty of Toronto. Check them out below! At some points in the day, it was quite gloomy and other times the sun shone bright (as exemplified in the pictures below). Have you ever been to Downtown Toronto? How did you like it there?
If any of you watch Suits, I thought I'd just let you all know that the third picture in the second row shows the two buildings in which some of the scenes in Suits are filmed. Just a little info I thought I'd share! 😀 In conclusion, I cannot wait to see what the rest of the summer holds!

It's been a really long time since I've been to Toronto. That was back in the day when I could drive across the border without a passport, if that tells you anything...
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your new books. I haven't read any of them.
Really?? How did you like Toronto?
DeleteThank you! ^.^

Good pictures here! The park Looks like my kind of place; downtown Toronto a little less so, as I am not too fond of high rise buildings. Lovely rows of books on the last shot!

DeleteThe book shot is from my favourite bookstore!

I used to live in Toronto and I loved the downtown area. CN tower and that huge mall (Yorkdale? I think it's called) were my favorite. I haven't been there in years. Your post brought back good memories for me. :)
